Muhammed Zahid Reza, widely known as Prito Reza is a Bangladeshi photographer, director, TV personality, public speaker and celebrity RJ. He is the founder of Wedding Dairy and Prito Reza Production. Prito Reza is considered as the pioneer in the modern wedding photography industry of Bangladesh.

Career

Having earned his Bachelor’s degree from the South Asian Institute of Photography (PATHSHALA), he has worked for reputed Bangladeshi dailies like The Daily Ittefaq, New Age, The Daily Star, DrikNEWS, Daily Ajker Kagoj and Bhorer Kagoj. He has also worked as a Photo Editor for four prominent magazines of ICE Media Limited (ICE Today, ICE Business Times, Charbela Chardik, Bengal Barota).

Prito Reza is the Ambassador of Fujifilm Bangladesh (first photographer who represented an international camera brand in Bangladesh) as well as the PPAC Ambassador in Bangladesh.

The first and only photography show on Bangladeshi satellite television – Darkroom – was conceptualized and now, which is hosted by him. Anybody interested from any part of the country can participate in this live program and ask questions on photography. Mr.Reza also host the country only photography based radio show – ‘photo talk with prito reza’ on radio ABC 89.2FM.

Prito is a certified master photographer (first Bangladeshi) by MPA-UK. He is the faculty of Counter Foto and takes classes regularly at Photoffee, Photo Lounge, WD School of Photography and has conducted more than hundred photography workshops till date. His solo photography exhibition, Life Soldiers, was held at the 39th Paseo Art Festival 2014, in USA.

Wedding and Portrait Photographers of Bangladesh (WPPB) is has honored Mr.Reza on completion of ten years of his hard work and for his dedication towards photography.

Prito Reza is the first photographer from Bangladesh to achieve a Professional Fellowship from US Department of State and an Alumni of Oklahoma University Fellowship Program. He is the first Bangladeshi speaker at Wedding and Portrait Photographer of Asia Annual Conference, Malaysia & Professional Photographers of Asia Conference, china. He had received the Mirror Business Award for Best Wedding Photographer in the year 2011-2012.
He has been selected as a ‘’Young Icon 2012’’ by Joven, a magazine that comes out of The Daily New Age, a leading Bangladeshi daily. Prito also award with ‘Photoffee Photographer of the year 2014’

It was Prito Reza, who started the modern trend of wedding photography in Bangladesh. Starting from zero, his brainchild Wedding Diary is now a renowned name worldwide. Under the banner of ‘Wedding Diary’, Prito Reza extended his journey in Australia, America, India, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. The very first wedding photo exhibition in Bangladesh was an initiative by Prito Reza and his team.

He is the founder president of Wedding and Portrait Photographers of Bangladesh and represents Bangladesh in a number of international photography organizations including MPA, PPAC
WPPI, PPA and ISPWP etc. He is also the co-founder of PHOTOPRENURES, a social business, with the aim of developing the talent pool of photo entrepreneurs and citizen journalists. The project has the support of Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.

Personal life & education

Prito Reza was born on 11 June 1984 at Feni in Muslim family; son of Muhammed Rezaul Karim, retired Banker and mother Zakia Sultana is a housewife. Mr. Reza got married in the year (2009) to Paula Rahman, who is working at ( priyo.com)
They have been blessed with twin boys, named Adiyat Reza & Abiyaz Reza on year (2012).
Prito attended the public school Noakhali Zilla School in Maijdee Court, Noakhali . He passed his higher secondary exam from Dhaka City College and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the South Asian Institute of Photography (PATHSHALA) on year (2009)
